2. Coaching and sensitive personal information

During coaching, you may choose to share personal information about your relationships, emotions, wellbeing, health, family circumstances or other areas of your life.

Some of this information may legally be classed as special category data, particularly information relating to health.

I do not ask you to provide more sensitive information than is reasonably necessary for the coaching service.

Where I need to process special-category information, I will only do so where there is a valid legal basis and an additional condition under data protection law. In some circumstances this may include your explicit consent.

The ICO confirms that special-category information requires additional protection and that explicit consent must be clear, specific and actively given where it is relied upon.

Contract

I need the information to provide something you have requested or purchased.

For example, I need your contact details to:

  • provide coaching;

  • deliver a digital product;

  • fulfil an order;

  • manage your account.

Legal obligation

I may need to keep or use certain information because the law requires it, including tax, accounting and consumer records.

Legitimate interests

I may use information where I have a reasonable business need to do so and your privacy rights do not outweigh that interest.

This may include:

  • protecting the website from fraud or abuse;

  • maintaining business records;

  • improving services;

  • responding to disputes or legal claims.

Consent

I rely on your consent for certain activities, including some forms of marketing, cookies and, where appropriate, sensitive personal information.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.

The ICO requires privacy information to clearly explain who is collecting information, why it is being used, the lawful basis, how long it is kept and who it may be shared with.

If you subscribe to the Liberated Heart newsletter, I may send you:

  • articles and educational content;

  • updates;

  • information about products;

  • coaching or programme announcements;

  • offers and promotions.

You can unsubscribe at any time by:

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent me from sending essential communications relating to an order, account or booking.

6. Payments

Payments may be processed using third-party payment providers.

These may include:

  • PayPal;

  • Apple Pay;

  • Google Pay;

  • other payment methods displayed at checkout.

How long I retain information depends on why I collected it.

For example:

Liberated Heart's website, products and coaching services are primarily intended for adults unless a particular service clearly states otherwise.

I do not intentionally collect personal information directly from children through the website where parental or guardian involvement would legally be required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact me.

15. Links to other websites

The website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or social-media services.

Liberated Heart is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
